Building in the open: your votes decide what launches next
Most marketplaces are built behind closed doors and unveiled when they're done. We're doing the opposite. OffersPost is being built in the open — and starting today, you get a direct say in what we build next.
The idea, in one line: instead of buyers hunting through endless listings, buyers post offers — what they want and what they'll pay — and sellers come to them. We're launching with cars in Chicago, because that's where our roots are. But a reverse marketplace only works if it goes where the demand is. So rather than guessing what to launch second, we're asking.
Category voting is live
As of today, everyone who joins the waitlist can vote for the categories they want next: motorcycles, boats & RVs, real estate, electronics, sneakers & collectibles. The leaderboard sets our roadmap. The category with the most votes gets built first — and it launches to a waitlist of people who already asked for it, instead of launching to silence.
This is how every category will roll out. Demand first, then supply. It's the same philosophy as the product itself: the money shows up first, and the market comes to it.
What's happening behind the scenes
Right now we're heads-down on the foundation: the landing page is live, the waitlist and contact forms are tested end to end, and the custom domain cutover is next. After that comes the real build — the marketplace itself, where you'll be able to post your first offer.
We'll keep posting here as things ship: vote tallies, build milestones, and the occasional note on what we're learning about how people actually buy cars. No fluff, no hype — just the work.
